A second teenager has died after a stolen car crashed into a lamp post.
On Saturday, Essex Police said one 15-year-old boy died and two teenagers were seriously injured after the accident in South Ockendon, near Grays, Essex.
On Sunday, a police spokesman said one of the teenagers, who was aged 14, had also died.
The third boy, aged 16, is said to be unconscious in hospital.
The spokesman said the accident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
'Car was stolen'
The spokesman said a black Ford Fiesta was seen by police at about 0445 BST in South Ockendon.
It sped off from the police car and crashed into a lamp post.
The 15-year-old boy was certified dead on arrival at Darenth Valley Hospital in
Dartford. The second boy died later in the day.
The spokesman said: "The car had been reported stolen from the nearby
Chafford Hundred during the night.
" As yet we do not know who was driving . That
is forming part of the investigation."
Police said the Fiesta had sped away from the police car and was not being chased when it crashed.
Essex Police force has asked the Police Complaints Authority to investigate
the incident.
The three teenagers all come from the Grays area of Essex, but have not yet been
named.
