Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a pensioner who has been missing for nearly three days.
Norman Binks, 79, was last seen at 1700 BST on Thursday.
A taxi driver dropped him off outside Broken Scar treatment works near the River Tees, in Darlington.
Durham police's air support and river units have been searching in the area for Mr Binks, who has recently been ill.
