Ten thousand cigarettes have been seized as part of a crack down on crime in Shropshire.
The cigarettes, worth £2,000 which had been smuggled in from France, were seized in Operation Urban carried out in Highley, near Bridgnorth.
It is believed to be the first time that police, customs and excise and council officials have come together in the district to target criminals.
Sixteen people were also arrested, mainly for driving offences and failing to appear at court, as part of the campaign.
More than 20 cars were stopped in spot checks on the A454 Bridgnorth to Wolverhampton Road.
Two men were also given on the spot fines of £500 pounds for using "red" agriculural diesel fuel.
