Police are continuing to question a 31-year-old man following the death of a cyclist in Dorset.
The body of Victoria True, 19, from Blandford, was discovered on the road between Tarrant Rawston and Tarrant Monkton, near Blandford, shortly before midnight on Sunday.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that the victim died from injuries received in a collision with a motor vehicle.
Dorset Police have been granted more time to question the man from the Blandford area who was arrested following the crash.
'Devastating loss'
Speaking from her home in the Poole area, Ms True's sister, Lucy, 17, said: "I'm totally devastated at the loss of my sister in this way and I'm now being comforted by my friends."
Inspector Shaun Cronin of Dorset Police's road policing unit said: "We are carrying out a thorough investigation into what appears at this time to be a fatal road traffic collision in which the offending vehicle failed to stop.
"To offer support to the local community, the head of Dorset Police's eastern division, Superintendent Lynn Hart, has arranged for the community support vehicle to park near the Langton Arms pub in Tarrant Monkton today, Tuesday, 21 October, 2003.
"Residents with any information at all about the collision, or the circumstances surrounding it - as well as anyone with any concerns - can visit the vehicle and speak with our staff there."
