Two arrested in murder probe
Police in Cheltenham have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man who met a 'violent death' was found in a flat.

Two people - a man and a woman - have been arrested in connection with the death and are being questioned.

Officers and paramedics were called to the flat in Rowanfield Exchange at 2235 BST on Tuesday.

Inside they found the body of a person who had died shortly before they arrived.

Witness appeal

A police spokesman said: "The deceased appears to have met a violent death.

"A murder investigation has been launched."

Police have not yet released details of the nature of the man's injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police or Crimestoppers.
