Man questioned over shop fire

One person has been arrested after a fire which severely damaged a shop in Northampton on Tuesday night.

Fire crews were called to Moulton Electrical in Abington Grove just before 2400 BST.

Several people in flats above the shop had to be led to safety.

A number of neighbouring properties were also damaged in the fire.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said one man was being questioned on suspicion of arson.
