Police in India have told a court in Delhi that they have received more than 30 complaints against a leading pop singer relating to the trafficking of illegal immigrants.
The court was hearing an appeal against a ruling to deny bail to the singer, Daler Mehndi in the event of his being taken into custody.
Mr Mehndi's brother, Shamsher, is already being held by police over accusations that they smuggled illegal immigrants abroad by pretending they were part of concert tour crews.
They deny the charges.
