Golfer's love match with hole-in-one
A golf ball and club
Mick Turner is a greenkeeper at the Suffolk Golf Country Club
A Suffolk golfer who promised his partner he would propose to her if he ever got a hole-in-one has finally managed the feat.

Golfer Mick Turner, 36, from Bury St Edmunds is now planning the wedding.

Mr Turner, a greenkeeper at the Suffolk Golf Country Club, promised his girlfriend Ruth Tucker, 30, that if he got a hole-in-one he would ask her to marry him.

Now 13 years on he did exactly that - using a four iron to hole the 206-yard 17th.

Mr Turner proudly took his card home and kept his promise to Ms Tucker.

She said she burst into tears and accepted.

The pair plan to tie the knot in 18 months time.
