Missing boy reunited with mother
Sholto Davies
Sholto was found on Tuesday evening
A 12-year-old boy who prompted a large-scale search after he disappeared was found safe and well on Tuesday evening.

Sholto Davies was found on a road near Wiveliscombe home at about 1930 BST, police said.

The youth was reunited with his mother at their home shortly afterwards, Avon and Somerset police said.

Sholto had last been seen in Wiveliscombe at 1800 BST on Monday and a search involving a force helicopter and police dogs was launched.

Police had said Sholto was "vulnerable", and extra officers were drafted in to make door-to-door inquiries and talk to local bus drivers.

On Tuesday evening police praised the public who had offered valuable information about the boy.
