Fears raised over missing boy
Sholto Davies
Sholto was last seen at 1800 BST on Monday
A search for a missing 12-year-old Somerset boy has been stepped up.

On Tuesday, police dogs and extra support officers were brought in to aid officers in Wiveliscombe, Somerset.

They spent the day searching for Sholto Davies after officers said they were growing increasingly concerned for boy, whom they describe as "vulnerable".

He was last seen in his home town of Wiveliscombe at 1800 BST on Monday, when he was seen running on South Street, near to the B3227 Bampton Road.

A force helicopter has been flying over the surrounding area, and officers have been making door-to-door inquiries and talking to bus drivers in the Wiveliscombe area.

"Sholto Davies is a quiet boy and likes to go for walks alone," an Avon and Somerset police spokesman said.

"He is described as white, very slim, with green eyes, about 5ft tall with very thick, curly, shoulder-length hair, worn in a pony tail.

"He was wearing dark trousers with a grey top when he was last seen."
