Police are questioning two people after a teenager girl was bundled into a car as she was walking with friends along a street.
The incident happed in Billendean Terrace in Tweedmouth, Berwick, on Monday afternoon.
The 17-year-old was with two friends when a car pulled up and she was bundled into the back seat.
The car then drove off.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "The three teenage girls were walking along at about 1400 BST on Monday, when a red car pulled up alongside them.
"One of the occupants got out and bundled the 17-year-old into the car, which then made off.
"Soon afterwards the car was spotted in the Coalyard area of Tweedmouth.
"The girl was found still in the vehicle. She had facial injuries and required hospital treatment.
"She was later discharged.
"Two people have been arrested and are helping us with our inquiries."
