A man who died at home hours after his van was involved in a crash in Somerset has been named by police.

Stephen John Mogg was driving a Ford van which was in collision with a Land Rover towing a trailer at the junction of Farm Road and the A39 in Street at 0740 BST on Saturday 30 August.

The 49-year-old died at his home in the town on Sunday 31 August as a result of his injuries.

Officers investigating the cause of the accident are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to contact them.

A police spokesman said: "The collision happened quite early in the morning but we believe there were about nine or 10 vehicles in the area at the time.

"Those drivers may have vital information to help our investigation and we would ask them to get in touch."
