Murder inquiry after death
A murder inquiry is under way in Cornwall, following the death of a man who sustained head injuries on Saturday, 11 October.

Alan Edge, 47, from Falmouth, was found with head injuries in the Webber Hill area of the town at about 0300 BST on the Saturday.

He was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital and placed in the intensive care unit.

Devon and Cornwall Police said despite treatment he died in the early hours of Friday morning.

Court appearance

Following his death, police have launched a murder investigation.

A man has already appeared in court, charged with attempted murder in connection with Mr Edge's injuries.

Mark Miller, 32, of no fixed abode, appeared before magistrates in Truro on Monday.

He was remanded in custody and due to appear before Truro Crown Court next week.
