Two held after police chase
Two people were arrested in Shropshire after a stolen car crashed into a ditch during a police pursuit.

Officers began following the red Ford Fiesta at about 0100 BST on Tuesday when checks revealed it had been stolen the day before.

The vehicle failed to stop for the police when they tried to pull it over.

Officers then pursued the car for about 10 minutes before the driver lost control and skidded into a ditch by the side of the B5061, near to junction 7 of the M54.

Police arrested two youths, one male and one female, on suspicion of theft.

They were due to be questioned at Malinsgate Police Station on Tuesday.
