Club complains over fan attack
Jan Birley with her son Stewart
Jan and Stewart Birley were among 200 fans pelted with stones
Boston United are to make an official complaint to the football authorities after three supporters' coaches were pelted with stones and bottles.

It happened as fans were boarding coaches after Saturday's game at Hull City's KC Stadium.

More than 200 Pilgrims fans were getting ready to leave the ground.

Damage valued at £10,000 was caused to the vehicles.

'Really scared'

Supporter Jan Birley said: "One or two of us were still off the coach trying to find out where the rest of our members were.

"I went on the coach and told everyone to try and keep their heads down."

Her son Stewart said: "I was really scared. When we were coming out, I was getting bashed by Hull fans.

"When I was getting on the coach stones were being pelted - it looked like they were going to hit me every time."

Nobody from Hull City has been available for comment but Boston United are already calling for a formal investigation.

Meanwhile, sales for places on Boston United's official supporters' coach to the club's next away game have been suspended in the aftermath of the trouble at the weekend.

The club's supporters' association said it was "with regret" it had to make the decision while it continues talks with coach operator Translinc.
