Woman arrested after suspected assault

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault in Gloucester.

Officers were called to Matson Avenue at 2320 BST on Thursday after reports that a man was lying on the ground, believed to have been assaulted.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in connection with the incident.

The victim was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries, and has since been released.

Police also want to speak to a second man in connection with the incident.

He is described as white, in his 30s with pitted skin and shaved dark hair.
