A Derby school which was meant to reopen on Tuesday after the summer holidays is staggering the return of pupils over the next six days.
It follows a delay in rewiring work at Derby Moor Community School.
Only years seven and 13 are being asked to return to lessons on the first day of the new term.
Year eight pupils are being asked to come back on Wednesday, years nine, and eleven will return on Thursday and year twelve will come back on Monday.
Derby Moor Community School is the second school in the city not to reopen on time this week.
Pupils at St James' School in Reginald Street have been told not to come back until Wednesday.
New toilets and decorations there which should have been completed over the summer holidays were not finished on time.
