Appeal by friends of missing boy

Rory was last seen at about 0400 BST on Thursday
Friends of the missing Suffolk teenager, Rory Unwin-Rose, have made an appeal for him to come home.

They were the last people to see the 15-year-old who went missing from beach party in Walberswick on Thursday morning.

In a statement read by 14-year-old Becky Start, five of Rory's closest friends begged him to return to his Cretingham home.

They last saw him at around 0400 BST at a party on Walberswick beach.

In a personal message they tell Rory everyone is missing him.

We love you and miss you so much. Please come home
Statement from Rory's friends

The statement reads: "Hey Rory, it's your best buddies.

"Everyone is missing you and they want you to come home.

"We all want to go to London together but it wouldn't be the same if you weren't there.

"Our group isn't the same without you. Rory, whatever's happened don't worry... you're not in trouble.

"We love you and miss you so much. Please come home."

Meanwhile a major air and sea search continues for Rory in and around the Walberswick near Lowestoft.

The talented rugby player, who represented Suffolk at county level, was described as a sensitive and thoughtful teenager and a strong swimmer by his parents on Friday.

The parents, who did not wish to reveal their first names, added: "Just come home, we - Mum, Dad, and Angus - miss you. We're looking forward to going on holiday soon ... please get in touch."

Rory is described as around 5 ft 9 in tall, of average build with dark curly hair and bushy eyebrows.

He was last seen wearing blue and white swimming shorts.

Police urged anyone who may have seen the youngster to contact them on 01473 613 500.
