Hutton inquiry
Hearings at the Hutton inquiry have come to a dramatic (and televised) close with submissions from the QC's representing the various interested parties.
In a specially extended programme we had full reports on what was said at the High Court and as Lord Hutton retires to consider his report, we assessed what we've learnt over the past two months.
Swedish neutrality
Also, we reported from Sweden on a remarkable tale of Cold War espionage and deceit. For years, the Swedish Government told the world and its people that the country was neutral in the confrontation between the US and the Soviet Union. In fact, Sweden was secretly helping NATO spy on Russia, and next month operations will begin to raise from the Baltic a spy plane shot down by Russian fighters. The case has lead to a national reassessment of Sweden's post-war history.
