Council reduces leisure funding
The centres include gym facilities
Rushcliffe Council is facing a bill of about £500,000 to secure the future of three leisure centres.

The expense has come about because Nottinghamshire County Council has withdrawn its funding.

The county council will give Rushcliffe £450,000 this year towards running the centres in West Bridgford, Keyworth and Bingham.

But over the next 10 years that figure will fall to less than £40,000.

It means that Rushcliffe will have to make up the difference - a cost that could be passed onto tax payers.
