A man who was found unconscious in Liverpool on Saturday morning has died.
The man, who was aged about 40, was found in Brunswick Road, Kensington, by passers by at about 0230 BST.
He was discovered lying on the pavement opposite the entrance to the Erskine Industrial Estate in Trafalgar Way.
He was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital with serious injuries where he died on Saturday evening.
Witness appeal
Police believe he may have been drinking in the Lime Street area of the city centre on Friday evening.
Merseyside Police said officers knew his identity but were appealing for witnesses who may have seen him the night before he died.
He was described as white, sun-tanned, about 5ft 10 ins tall, of medium build, with short black, swept-back hair and brown eyes.
When he was found, he was wearing cream corduroy trousers, a white Higgins shirt, brown Camel Active shoes, cream socks, blue underwear and a brown George belt.
He also wore a yellow and silver metal Rotary wrist watch and two yellow metal rings with red stones.
