Man dies in road collision

A man has been killed in a road accident in County Down.

Charles Clarke, 27, from Drumardan Road, Portaferry, is the 100th person to be killed on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year.

His car was involved in the accident on Main Street in Groomsport just after 0515 BST on Sunday.

Police in Bangor have appealed for witnesses to the accident to come forward.
