Disabled woman in arson attack

A woman with hearing difficulties has escaped an arson attack on her home in County Armagh.

The incident happened in the Ballyoran area of Portadown on Friday night.

The woman spotted the flames and called neighbours who put out the fire.

Part of the front door and garden were scorched damaged.

Police are also investigating an arson attack on a house in the Edenaveys Crescent area of Armagh.

No one was inside the house when it was attacked at about 0100 BST on Saturday.

The fire brigade was called to the scene and put out the fire which was started when flammable liquid was poured through the living room window which was smashed in the attack.

A car was also set alight and destroyed in the blaze.
