Factory fire still smouldering
Fire scene
Smoke from the fire could be seen for several miles
Fire crews are still damping down at the site of a huge fire that destroyed a plastics factory.

The Styrene Packaging and Insulation Ltd building in Parkhouse Road, Bradford, went up in flames on Wednesday night.

At its height, thick black smoke could be seen for miles around as 100 firefighters tackled the fire.

Investigators believe it started accidentally in one of the machines.

A fire service spokesman said small fires are still smouldering in the remains of the building.

He said: "It's quite unsafe to go into the building because a lot of the walls have buckled but we are keeping an eye on things."

The remains of the factory are due to be demolished early next week.
