Men bailed after firearms incident
Northamptonshire Police HQ
Police said the men were arrested on the Kingswood estate
Two men arrested after a gun was brandished have been released on bail.

The two men, aged 20 and 29, were questioned following an incident in which a man brandished a gun in front of more than 100 terrified customers in a pub beer garden.

They were arrested on the Kingswood estate on Friday morning.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said they were being held in connection with an incident at the Spread Eagle pub in Corby on Wednesday night.

The spokeswoman said a man was thought to have brandished a firearm during a row in the pub garden, but it was not fired.

"It was very busy on that evening and for some reason there was an altercation but we don't know how many people were involved. During the disturbance a firearm was seen," she said.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

The men were held at Corby police station, but have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
