Body found by canal
Warwickshire Police are appealing for help to identify an elderly man whose body was found near the canal in Leamington Spa.

The emergency services were called to Rushmore Street at about 1300 BST on Friday after reports that a body had been found near the Grand Union Canal.

It is understood the man had fallen from a bicycle and may have died from a heart attack.

He is described as between 60 and 70-years-old, about 5 ft 10 ins, with ginger to grey hair.

The man was found wearing black trousers with a brown belt, a white and cream checked shirt, with brown shoes and white socks.

Anyone who may be able to help identify the man is being asked to contact police in Leamington.
