Police have released CCTV images of a man suspected of indecently assaulting a woman as she shopped at the supermarket with her boyfriend and daughter.

The 24-year-old woman was choosing groceries at the late-night Tesco Express when a man grabbed her at around 2220 BST.

Her boyfriend tried to stop the suspected offender from leaving the store, but the man managed to escape, dropping his glasses as he left.

The suspect was caught on camera at the Tesco Express in Lodge Road, Southampton at 2220 BST on 3 August.

Police are urgently appealing for anyone who recognises him to come forward.

Detective Constable Gurjeet Kalirai said: "We are treating this incident very seriously and would urge anyone who recognizes the man from these pictures and knows who he is to call us.

"We need to find the man responsible for this assault as soon as possible and any calls with information will be treated in the strictest of confidence."
