Teenager escapes abductor
A man tried to abduct a teenager by dragging her into his car as she walked home from work.

The 18-year-old victim was grabbed near Clare Park in Haywards Heath, Sussex, at about 2240 BST on Friday.

Police said the teenager was walking down Perrymount Road towards the railway station when a dark coloured Renault Clio stopped a short distance away from her.

A man got out of the vehicle and as the woman walked past he grabbed her and tried to drag her into the car.

After struggling with the man, the victim managed to break free and run off.

She was not hurt in the attack.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to contact them.

The offender is described as being tanned, about 20 years old, about 5 ft 7 in tall and wearing a baseball cap.
