Debate over hotels demolition
Jersey's planning department is to decide whether to allow applications to demolish two hotels.

An application to replace the Normandie Hotel at Greve d'Azette with 82 flats and a retirement village in St Peter will be discussed.

Planners are also considering plans from developers Dandara to knock the Hotel L'Hermitage down and build a retirement village.

The development in Beaumont would include a 106 sheltered apartments, 36 retirement cottages and 18 flats.

It will also include a residential home with staff accommodation, a children's nursery and a GP's surgery.
