Swimmer tackles bay charity challenge
St Michael's Mount from across Mounts Bay
Suzie Brooks will swim across part of Mounts Bay to St Michael's Mount
A Cornish woman plans to tackle a charity swim across part of Mounts Bay.

Suzie Brooks, from Newlyn, is swimming from the port to St Michael's Mount on Saturday to raise funds for a charity appeal in the area.

Fundraisers in west Cornwall have managed to collect enough money to send Tim Osborne to Canada for revolutionary treatment for Motor Neurone Disease.

Ms Brooks' late husband also had the condition and she is hoping her own fundraising efforts will go towards providing the extra money needed to help with Mr Osborne's on-going treatment.

Ms Brooks has been swimming in the sea off Newlyn for more than a year.

She takes to the water almost every day and says swimming has helped cure bouts of depression she has endured in recent years.
