Open verdict on prostitute

An inquest has recorded an open verdict on a prostitute whose body was found in the North York Moors almost three years ago.

The body of 21-year-old Vicky Glass was found close to the moorland village of Danby in November 2000, six weeks after she went missing from Teesside.

A police investigation into her death has so far drawn a blank in the search for her killer.

The hearing in Pickering reached its verdict on the death of Ms Glass on Friday afternoon.

She was last seen in the Shipmate pub, in Middlesbrough, in September 2000.

Ms Glass is one of three prostitutes to go missing from the Middlesbrough area in two years.

Prostitute Rachel Wilson, 19, went missing in May last year and has not been seen since.

Donna Keogh, 17, also disappeared from the same area of Middlesbrough town centre and has also not been seen.
