Supporter returns to musical glory
A posthorn
The posthorn is one of the rarer band instruments
A musician is returning to play the Posthorn Gallop on Leicester City's pitch after a gap of almost 50 years.

Henry Shipley, 77, from Syston has been chosen to perform the historic anthem at every home game this season.

Henry has been playing the post horn since 1939.

He last performed at a Leicester City match in around 1956, when the Foxes were at their old home, Filbert Street.

He was a member of the Leicester Special Constabulary Brass Band, which used to play the Posthorn Gallop at every home match.

Now, almost half a century later, things have come full circle.

Henry has been chosen to play the traditional entrance tune for the entire Premiership season.

It follows an appeal by the club to find a posthorn player.

Henry will play twice at Friday's match against Barcelona and says he is not daunted by the 32,000 strong crowd expected at the game.
