Armed police arrested two men in Corby in an early-morning raid on Friday.
The two men, aged 29 and 30, are to be questioned following an incident in which a man brandished a gun in front of more than 100 terrified customers in a pub beer garden.
They were arrested on the Kingswood estate.
A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said they were being held in connection with an incident at the Spread Eagle pub in Corby on Wednesday night.
The spokeswoman said a man was thought to have brandished a firearm during an
altercation but it was not fired.
"It was very busy on that evening and for some reason there was an
altercation but we don't know how many people were involved. During the
disturbance a firearm was seen," she said.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
The men were being held at Corby police station.
