Empty stolen car crashes into house
A stolen car with no-one at the wheel crashed into the front of a house in Northampton in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The empty black Ford Escort had been left to run along Vicarage Road into Harlestone Road where it smashed into one of the houses.

There was no-one in the house, but the property was badly damaged.

The car had been stolen from the Kings Heath area.

Police in Northampton are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the car being driven from between Kings Heath and Vicarage Road.

They would also like to speak to anyone who saw people making off in Harlestone Road around the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01604 700700.
