A family escaped a house fire in Derby which investigators believe was caused by the sunny weather.
Three people escaped the burning building in Sinfin on Thursday afternoon.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire started after the suns rays were intensified by a glass vase in an upstairs room and some nearby washing caught alight.
Fire crews were called out to the house in Outram Way just before 1600 BST.
One person had to jump from an upstairs window and three occupants escaped from the downstairs of the property.
All had to go to the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary for treatment while Firefighters managed to put the fire out within half-an-hour.
Officers will return to the scene on Friday to complete their investigation.
