Guide dogs given ticket to ride
Puppies learning to be guide dogs have been given a ticket to ride local rail services after a Midland rail firm donated free passes to help their training.

The young dogs are undergoing training as dogs for the blind in Worcestershire and can now travel for free with their trainers on Central Trains.

The free passes are aimed at helping the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to ensure the trainee guide dogs become comfortable and confident in getting on and off the train.

It will also help familiarise them with the sounds and movements associated with rail travel.

Russell Price, from Central Trains, said: "We are delighted to be able to assist with the very important training of guide dogs on our trains as we often have passengers who are blind with their guide dogs.

"It is vital the dogs are used to the train, especially at busy periods as thousands of people use our services every day."
