Waterfront talks continue
Jersey States
The States debate is being held in private for legal reasons
Jersey politicians will spend a second day debating what is being described as the most important decision of their careers.

States members spent all of Tuesday trying to decide whether to approve an out-of-court settlement over ownership of part of the island's waterfront in St Helier.

Les Pas Holdings has been claiming ownership of a large area of the waterfront for several years and has threatened to take the States to court over the issue.

Politicians must decide whether the land, which is worth £10m, should be transferred to Les Pas to settle the dispute.

The proceedings are being held in private because of the legal implications of the issue.
