Parish chases Bloom honours
Flowers
St Martin's has entered the Britain in Bloom competition twice before
Guernsey parish St Martin's is hoping to keep a Britain in Bloom award in the Bailiwick.

Two UK judges will be guided through the parish by the Floral Committee on Friday as it tries to emulate Herm's success in last year's competition.

St Martin's has entered the competition twice before and is hoping it will be third time lucky.

The organisers say a whole year's work will come down to an hour-and-a-half inspection as the Parish's Floral Committee looks to impress the judges.

St Martin's is up against Brightlingsea, Ledbury, Alnwick, Kirkham and Wesham and Scottish town Forres.

The results will be announced in London on 30 September.
