Bristol drug dealers jailed
Baldon Todd
Basketball player Baldon Todd was sentenced to five years in jail
A total of 13 drug dealers have been jailed for a combined total of more than 65 years.

The dealers - including a member of the Jamaican national basketball team - were arrested during high profile raids in July by armed police in the St Paul's area of Bristol.

They were each given sentences of four to six years at Bristol Crown Court.

Judge John Foley said suppliers of heroin and cocaine should expect "immediate and substantial" sentences.

Amongst those jailed was Baldon Todd, a member of the Jamaican basketball squad.

He claimed he came to Bristol to get a better education, but was sentenced to five years in jail.

Detective Inspector Andy Williams said: "Judge Foley has sent a powerful deterrent to anyone thinking about dealing, or already dealing, drugs."
