Painting of tiger
Jonathan Pointer's painting is valued at £7,500
Two paintings and three sculptures valued at more than £20,000, have been stolen from Bristol Zoo in an overnight raid.

Thieves broke into the Clifton-based zoo between 1730 BST on Friday, 19 September and 0820 BST the next morning.

The works were taken from an exhibition marquee in the zoo grounds.

One painting by Jonathan Pointer is valued at £7,500 and shows a tiger in front of a tree.

The other painting, called Startled and by artist David Porter, is also of a tiger.

The sculptures are of three lions, a hare and a cheetah. Each is made out of bronze and small in size.

The stolen items were all being exhibited by the Wildlife Arts Society.
