Man arrested after body found

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after body of a woman was found at an address in Essex.

Police said on Tuesday that the woman, who has not been named, was found at a property in Sussex Close, Canvey Island.

Scenes of crime officers have been examining the property.

Police are also at the Gun Pub in Pitsea which is believed to be linked to the investigation.

Essex Police said they expected to formally identify the woman once her relatives had been contacted.
