Man dies after falling from viaduct
A man who died after falling a 100ft from a railway viaduct in Durham has been identified.

Police said 48-year-old Terry Park, from Pelton, near Chester-le-Street, jumped over a retaining wall on the viaduct, which spans North Road.

He was found by an officer on Sutton Street and was confirmed dead at the scene at about 1030 BST on Wednesday.

Mr Park had been undergoing treatment at the nearby County Hospital.

Durham Police said they were not treating his death as suspicious.
