Teenager hurt in spray attack
A Jersey teenager is recovering after being temporarily blinded when he was sprayed with a toxic substance.

The incident happened when two 16-year-old boys were walking in Grands Vaux on Monday night when a car pulled up along side them.

There were four youngsters in the car and it is claimed the front seat passenger sprayed them with a substance before the car drove away.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack.

One of the teenagers who was sprayed had to receive hospital treatment for temporary blindness and burns.

Police want anyone who saw an old-style blue Ford Fiesta in the area at about 0050 on Monday to get contact with them.
