Police search for car fire witness

Police investigating the discovery of a body in a burning car want to trace a man seen walking along a nearby road.

North Yorkshire Police were called when firefighters discovered a man's body inside a Fiat car which had crashed in Reighton.

Now detectives want to trace a man seen walking along the A165 near the Port of Call cafe at Hunmanby at 0350 BST on Wednesday, 17 September.

Police, who believe the man may have witnessed the incident, say he is 5ft 6ins tall with short dark hair.

The man was wearing a dark jacket with the numbers 005 on the back.
