Body in river trial resumes
Domingas Olivais
Domingas Olivais' body was found in the River Bure
The murder trial of a shop cleaner who denies killing his partner is due to resume on Tuesday.

The trial at Norwich Crown Court was adjourned on Friday 12 September because the defendant, asylum seeker Filomeno Antonio Lopes, was ill.

Mr Lopes, 35, who works as a shop cleaner, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Domingas Olivais.

Her body was found in the River Bure at Great Yarmouth in April last year. She had been strangled.

Last week, Graham Parkins, prosecuting, told the jury that Mr Lopes, of Montague Hotel, Kent Square, Great Yarmouth, had given police conflicting accounts of what happened when he reported his 30-year-old partner missing.

The prosecution is expected to complete its case within two days.
