Smoke from the fire could be seen for several miles
Firefighters have been tackling a large fire in the Low Moor area of Bradford.

West Yorkshire fire service received the call to the Styrene Packaging and Insultaion Ltd factory on Parkhouse Road at 2025 BST on Wednesday.

At its height, thick black smoke could be seen for miles around as 100 firefighers tackled the fire.

Local residents were advised to stay indoors and to keep doors and windows closed although the smoke was not toxic.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, three people from Liversedge have been have been taken to hospital suffering from burns and the effects of breathing in smoke.

This followed a fire at a house in Firthcliffe Parade.

Fire crews went to the house at 0045 BST on Thursday where they found the kitchen alight.
