Man charged over cannabis haul

A man has been charged after police seized cannabis worth £4,000 during a raid on a house in Southampton.

Five nine ounce bars of cannabis resin and three large bags of herbal cannabis were discovered at a property in Upper Brownhill Road, Thornhill.

Two people were arrested at the scene, and one has since been charged with drug possession with intent to supply.

McCormick, 38, of Upper Brownhill Road, has been bailed to appear before Southampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 13, August.

A 58-year-old woman, also arrested, was cautioned for allowing premises to be used for illegal purposes, and subsequently released.

The raid, on Wednesday, was carried out by Hampshire Police's Crime Team.
