Missing teenager found
Samantha Whatling and Dermot Carrick
Samantha Whatling was thought to be with Dermot Carrick
A 16-year-old girl missing from her home since 30 July has been found safe and well with a 30-year-old man.

Police had become concerned for the welfare of Sam Whatling, of Thetford, Norfolk, after she left home without her parents' permission.

They issued an appeal for information about her whereabouts on Wednesday.

She was believed to be with Dermot Carrick, 30, who is also known by the surname Jones, and staying in Lowestoft.

Inspector Jamie Ayers said: "She was found safe and well in the Suffolk area last night with Dermot Carrick, following a call from a member of the public.

"She went with him by her own consent."
