Police issue 'stolen' goods picture
Stolen goods
Police were unable to link the items to any local burglaries
Police have issued a picture of a haul of property which they suspect was stolen.

A bag containing the items was found by children playing in sand next to the Isis Lake in Cirencester, Gloucestershire in May.

They were unable to link the property with any burglary in the Gloucestershire or Wiltshire areas.

The haul includes a white metal goblet, two World War One medals, jewellery, glass paperweights, a pocket watch and several white metal boxes.

A spokesman said the property had probably been stolen and left in the sand for collection at a later date.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who recognises any of the items, as some of them are quite distinctive," he said.
