New moves in missing Sarah inquiry
Sarah Benford
Sarah Benford was in council care when she disappeared
The investigation into the disappearance of missing Kettering teenager, Sarah Benford, has moved to the Hackney area of London.

Officers believe Sarah may have visited the area since she went missing from a Northampton care home three years ago.

Officers from Northamptonshire Police visited the Hackney area last Friday, it has been revealed.

They made contact with local police in London after the inquiry revealed Sarah may have visited or been seen there since her disappearance from Northampton in April 2000.

Posters have been put up at supermarkets, bus stations and restaurants in Hackney.

Police appealed to anyone living in the area who has information about Sarah's whereabouts to contact them with information.
